A smart lock replaces the combination padlock on your gate. Instead of resetting a code by hand and messaging it to each customer, Paddli generates a fresh daily code and includes it in your booking messages automatically. Here is everything you need to get set up.
In short
Buy an igloohome Padlock 2, pair it in the igloohome app, then connect your igloohome account to Paddli and assign the lock to a field. Codes are created and shared automatically from then on.
1. Get a compatible lock
Paddli works with igloohome smart locks and keypads. For a field gate we recommend the igloohome Padlock 2 — it is weatherproof, battery powered, and generates its codes offline, so it works with no Wi-Fi, no internet and no power at the gate.
Locks are bought directly from igloohome, not from Paddli.

2. Pair the lock in the igloohome app
Download the igloohome app, create an igloohome account, and follow its instructions to pair your lock and fit it to your gate. This is also where you will set your own master PIN later (step 5). Your lock must be paired in the igloohome app before Paddli can see it.
3. Connect igloohome to Paddli
In Paddli, go to Organisation → Smart Locks, choose Add smart lock provider, and select igloohome. You will be sent to igloohome to sign in and approve access, then returned to Paddli.
Paddli only asks for permission to list your devices and create time-limited PIN codes. Once connected, your paired locks appear automatically.
4. Assign a lock to a field
Open the field you want to use it on and go to its Gate code page. Switch to smart
lock mode and choose your lock. From then on, Paddli creates a daily code for that field and drops it
into any booking message that uses the [gate_code]
placeholder. The same lock can be shared across more than one field.
5. Keep your own access
Customer codes rotate every day, but you will want a code that always works. Set a permanent master PIN on the lock in the igloohome app — that is your personal backup, handy if you ever need to get in without a booking. You can view your master PIN at any time from the field's Gate code page in Paddli.
How the codes work
Paddli generates a new code for each day and stores a week of codes ahead of time, so a code is always ready before customers arrive. Because the codes are validated by the lock itself, they keep working even if the gate has no signal. You do not need to do anything once a lock is assigned — it all happens in the background.

Frequently asked questions
Which smart locks work with Paddli?
Paddli connects to igloohome smart locks and keypads through iglooConnect, igloohome’s integration platform. For field gates we recommend the igloohome Padlock 2. Locks are purchased directly from igloohome.
Do smart locks need power or signal at the gate?
No. igloohome locks generate PIN codes offline, so they work at fields with no Wi-Fi, no internet connection and no power supply at the gate.
Can I still get into the field myself?
Yes. Set a permanent master PIN on the lock in the igloohome app for your own access. It always works, even though customer codes rotate daily. You can view your master PIN at any time from the field’s Gate code page in Paddli.
How do customers get their gate code?
Once a lock is assigned to a field, Paddli includes the day’s code in your booking confirmation and reminder messages wherever you use the [gate_code] placeholder. Codes are generated ahead of time, so they are ready before customers arrive.
